What God Brings to It

 

And other seeds fell

          into good soil

and produced grain,

growing up and increasing

and yielding thirtyfold

and sixtyfold

and a hundredfold.

...The sower sows

              the Word.

             Mark 4. 8, 14

(Do not just hide God's Word

    in our hearts,

but sow it in the lives

    of all those around us,

planting passages,

digging deep,

filling our conversations,

   and nurturing souls.

We can never know

the immensity of God's fruit

      by speaking His Word.

And those who receive it

     may really surprise us.

When we are faithful,

God brings both the growth

       and His glory

in ways we may never see.)

O LORD,

Open our eyes to opportunities

    to speak of You

    and speak Your Word

into the lives of those around us.

Let Your Word flower

           and bear fruit

in unlikely situations

   and unexpected people.

And even in us.

Help us to be faithful to You

    today

even in our conversations.
