Well done,

  good and faithful servant.

You have been faithful

   over a little,

I will set you over much.

             Matthew 25. 21, 23

(God does not call us

     to be the best

or the most successful.

He calls us to be faithful

  in whatever He has

  placed before us.

We don't always

    see the fruit from that.

But God multiplies faithfulness

   to a thousand generations.)

O LORD,

What have You entrusted in our care

       on this day?

Please show us how to approach,

          and navigate,

          and invest Your grace into it.

Even when we don't understand,

even in the really hard stuff,

please help us to trust You

                      even more

    as You fit it all together.

And bring Your glory to it.

Empower us to be faithful

in both the familiar

       and the extraordinary.

We adore You.
