So Moses finished the work.
...and the glory of the LORD
filled the tabernacle.
Exodus 40. 33, 35
(Most of the time,
we don't realize
how much our work matters,
in the every days,
in the short run,
and when no one even notices.
We don't see His glory
all over it
in our doing
until long after
we complete our work.
God is not finished with it yet.
He is still filling up His glory
in what we do.
No work is ever insignificant.
As my grandmother used to say,
"Never for naught."
We have but to be faithful
and trust Him
with what He places
through our windshield.
And only later,
see what He is up to
in our rearview mirror.)
O LORD,
Please help us to be faithful
to You and to our work
that You may bring
Your glory to it.
Empower us to follow You
and trust what You are doing
in our lives
and in those all around us.
Fill us with Your strength
to point others to Jesus
by how we do our work,
through our words, attitudes,
and Your grace.
We thank You
that Your purposes far exceed
what we can ever imagine.
Your vision stretches
both before and behind.
Your redemption and glory
leave a visible imprint.
