Capturing runaways

 

...take every thought captive

      to obey Christ.

(Catch those foxes

that lead us far from where

    we are intended to be.

Are we driven by distractions?

Or letting our thought lives

     draw us closer to Christ?

What are we putting

       in the way of faithfulness?

What are we feeding?

What do we love?)

O LORD,

Infuse our minds and hearts

  that we would not just

  think about You

       but abide in You

  in this broken world.

May Your Word take up

     residence in our hearts

and transform

even what we think about.

We have the mind of Christ.

Help us to think Christianly

       about everything in our day.
