...because in him
there was found something
pleasing to the LORD.
1 Kings 14. 13
(May something be found
in us today
pleasing to the LORD
--not just in what we do,
or how we do it, or why,
but in our character, demeanor,
responses, attitude, fortitude,
kindness and grace,
forgiveness in the unexpected,
and to Whom we stake our lives.
Those choices emerge daily
--what is pleasing to me
or pleasing to Him in this situation.
In all that we do and are
is an act of worship.
Our relationship with God is showing.)
O LORD,
As we abide in You,
we pray that You change
the situation before us
by changing our hearts.
Please help us
to know how to respond
with a different heart
to both the ordinary
and the unanticipated.
May the works of our hands,
our thoughts,
even on what we dwell,
be a gift of joy to You.
