Who then

will offer willingly,

consecrating himself

   today to the LORD?

   1 Chronicles 29. 5

(A daily consecration

is a daily reminder

   of who God is

and of our intimacy with Him.

Life will not just

         look differently.

Life is different.

Daily coming before Him,

not squeezing God

    into our own agenda,

but willingly seeking

    His day for us.

When we direct our hearts

         toward the LORD,

right at the start of the day,

God enlarges our vision

and changes our hearts.

We are shaped

and strengthened by Him,

and not dominated

     by circumstances.)

O LORD,

We come before You

before the day rushes in

          and takes over,

that You may lay Your day

           before us.

Anoint this day

             and our hearts

with Your oil spilling over.

Soften our hearts

       towards You,

change our hearts

       towards others,

that we would approach

and embrace

   all circumstances differently.

What is Your way in this day,

                   O LORD?

May we walk with You

          all through it.
