...for they cried out to God

          in the battle,

and He granted

          their urgent plea

because they

    trusted in Him.

           1 Chronicles 5. 20

(We all struggle with something.

How differently the outcome,

how differently the journey,

how differently how we see,

what we see,

how we respond,

when we trust God,

               even in this.

No struggle too big

    for Him to handle,

no concern too small

   for His steadfast love.

Trusting God

  is walking with Him,

not dependent

         on circumstances

 --favorable or difficult--

nor the result

    which we cannot see

    from here,

but trusting in Him.)

O LORD,

Help us not to be

     overwhelmed

by what is around us,

but to trust You

          even more

and walk with You in it.

You are at work

in deeper places,

in unlikely people

and unexpected ways,

far more than

   we will ever comprehend.

We have Your word

              on that.

Your love and grace

      cover us.
