worship the LORD

by following Him

in each and everything

that He lays before us.

The Hebrew word avodah

means simultaneously

both work and worship.

Worship impacts

everything we do

and everything about us.

Worship changes us,

in how we see God,

how we see others,

how we see ourselves,

how we see circumstances.)

O LORD,

We come before You

that we may honor You

in this day.

Keep our eyes on You

that we may see

            differently

and be faithful to You

for Your glory

in the temple of

        the ordinary

which is never so ordinary

             at all.

You bring the extraordinary

      to our lives.
