He is like a tree

planted by streams of water

that yields its fruit

       in its season,

and its leaf

    does not wither.

In all he does,

        he prospers.

       Psalm 1. 3

(God's Word strengthens us

     more than we can know.

And allows us

   not just to survive

         in impossible situations

         and places

         and difficulty,

but to thrive here,

strategically positioned,

divinely appointed,

not just for our good

  but for those

           all around us

  and those coming after.

The seeds of God's Word

  produce majestic trees

of whose shade and fruit

       we may never see

       in our lifetimes.

Planting ourselves

             in God's Word,

in all that we do,

God redeems and completes

in ways too numerous

        than we can count

or we will ever realize.)

O LORD,

May Your Word

not just protect and provide

for us in this life,

but send down deep roots

to cover and sustain

all those around us

and point them to You.

Strengthen us this day

that we may in turn

   strengthen others

   who are desperate for You.

In all we do, O LORD,

    redeem and complete it.

Plant Your glory and joy

    through us.
