But the LORD sits

  enthroned forever...

             Psalm 9. 7

(Even over this,

even in the midst of what

   we are going through.

We are not in control,

    not even close.

But the LORD is sovereign,

not just in control,

but the supreme ruler,

the all powerful,

the Almighty,

the ever present.

He is not defeated by odds

    or circumstances.

"Trust Me in this.")

O LORD,

Help us in the now

     and in the next.

Help us to trust You

step by step by step

and not get ahead of You.

Wherever You lead us

in unexpected situations,

among unlikely people,

difficult circumstances,

the rough road

   and the unpaved path,

grant us the courage

           and strength

to follow You through

and not miss

Your wonders along the way.
