according to the Spirit

set their minds

on the things of the Spirit.

          Romans 8. 5

(Living according to

          the Spirit means

making different choices,

thinking differently,

learning to seek the LORD

in favor or difficulty,

turning to Him

   at the start of the day.

On what am I

      setting my mind?

By what "little" idols am I

      distracted?

On what we set our minds

radically influences

       our day in how we live

and the trajectory of our lives.)

O LORD,

There is nothing too small,

nothing too overwhelming

that we cannot turn to You

and trust You in it.

Help us not just to

see differently,

but respond differently

because we seek You

   and Your ways.

Help prayer to be

      our first response

and not our last resort.

You are here

          in the ordinary.

You guide us

         in the extraordinary.

May we know You

and be known as Yours.
