And David said,
"God has broken through
my enemies
by my hand,
like a bursting flood."
Therefore that place
is called Baal-perazim.
2 Chronicles 14. 11
(Baal-perazim literally means
"the Lord of breaking through."
The feeling of being overwhelmed
is just finally facing the reality
of our need for God.
Our enemies are anything
or anyone we fear,
both real and imagined.
But we are not alone in this.
It is not that God will
provide a way,
future tense.
God is already providing a way,
present tense.
God is not limited by our fears,
nor by big bad circumstances.
I just need to listen,
respond,
be faithful
and follow Him into it.
It is not my confidence,
but the LORD is my confidence.
Panic only blocks out the light.)
O LORD,
You are our rock
and redeemer.
You break through
in impossible places
that we would know
that You are the LORD
and that others would see You
without a shadow of doubt.
Help us to realize that
fear is just trying to do it
without You.
You never intended for us
to do life alone.
Help us to see that
we are never stuck.
You are with us.
You are indeed breaking through,
not just circumstances,
but flooding our hearts
with Your Presence
and steadfast love.
