O LORD, in the morning

    You hear my voice;

in the morning

I direct my prayer to You

        and watch.

             Psalm 5. 3

(Starting the day

in His Word and prayer,

not burdened by our needs

  but laying them before Him,

not just laying

     our agenda before Him,

but sensitive to God

laying His day before us.

His day for us

  has no interruptions,

only divine appointments.

Not a to do list,

       but to be.

"Walk with Me."

And watch

how differently

       the day can be.)

O LORD,

May we know

   that You are with us,

not just believe it.

Your Presence

changes the course of our days

and the trajectory of our lives,

     more than we can know.

Direct our steps this day,

our hearts,

our thoughts,

our words and deeds.

Nothing is insignificant

     in Your Kingdom,

nothing that cannot

    bring You glory.

The necessary tasks

   with a happy heart,

the "unnecessary" kindnesses

   with eyes wide open,

change the world.

Help us to come to You

       and watch

with astonishment

         Your hand in this.
