One of His disciples,
Andrew, Simon Peter's brother,
said to Him,
"There is a boy here
who has five barley loaves
and two fish,
but what are they
for so many?"
John 6. 8-9
(Blessings on the mom
who made his sack lunch,
an ordinary act of faithfulness
on an ordinary day.
She had no idea
how God would use it
for His glory.
Faithfulness
is never insignificant.
What do we have,
what has God placed
before us?
What can God do
with this dilemma,
this very present need?
Jesus says,
"Now watch this!"
What if
I trusted Him in this?)
O LORD,
May we not forget
that there are no
ordinary days,
only extraordinary ones.
Help us to seek You
and be faithful to You,
knowing that
You are in this.
You are redeeming
in present tense,
even in what
we cannot yet see.
