...and offered it
on the rock to the LORD,
to the One who works
and is working wonders.
Judges 13. 19
(When we offer to the LORD,
drag it to the rock,
bring it before Him,
lift on the altar,
leave it there,
and give this concern,
this difficult situation,
this keeps-me-awake worry,
this relationship to Him,
God works wonders,
indeed already working,
starting with our own hearts.
We can see, approach,
navigate
and do something different,
perhaps even that which
we never considered
or seen to do before,
something deeper
even in the ordinary.
There is no insignificant
offering,
nothing He cannot use
for His glory,
even that we may never see.)
O LORD,
You work wonders
not just future tense,
but are working
even now.
The past tense of wonders
build on the
present tense,
right before our eyes,
far beyond our imagination
and beyond our lives.
Help us to trust You
in this very situation
Your strength,
Your courage,
Your wisdom,
and Your wonders
woven seamlessly,
even perhaps
for a generation to come.
Your wonders
are all around us,
Your fingerprints
all over it,
the work of Your hands.
