The LORD is in your midst,

  a mighty one

  who will save;

He will rejoice over you

             with gladness;

He will quiet you

             by His love;

He will exult over you

             with loud singing.

(An incredible

     perceivable difference

 permeates our hearts,

thoughts, actions, plans,

seeing people,

circumstances,

ourselves and even God

by knowing

     He is in our midst.

We are not alone in this.

"Do not be afraid.

        I am with You."

That reality

     changes everything.

The word exult

is not often used.

But it means

  singing His triumph over us.)

O LORD,

Help us to be so very aware

      of Your Presence

in our midst,

right in the middle of trouble,

chasing out despair

    by trusting You.

Help us to hear

  Your song of triumph

  in our lives

and to know Your steadfast love,

   in spite of the circumstances.

You have strategically placed us

           for Your glory in this.

Right here.

Right now.

You are working still,

far beyond our comprehension,

far beyond our imagination,

far beyond our lifetimes.

May we realize and grasp

  that You are among us.
