...while I was

     speaking in prayer...

He made me understand,

speaking with me and saying,

"O Daniel,

I have now come out

to give you insight

            and understanding."

           Daniel 9. 21-22

(When we pray,

God reveals something new

                  to us.

We will not understand all things,

     but we can understand

                   some things,

         step by step.

         prayer by prayer.

God changes us

     through coming to Him.

We approach what is before us

       with a different heart.

We think differently.

We respond differently.

We accept differently.

We even see God differently.

We are greatly loved by God.

Did it even occur to me

     to pray about this?

Trusting Him

  is the sincerest form

                of worship.)

O LORD,

We come before You

not to give you a list

     of requests and wants

     and perceived needs,

but to listen to You

    with hands and hearts

                       open,

not for what You will give us

    but for Who You are.

Hear our prayers, O LORD.

May we listen to You.

May we even just sit

          in Your Presence.

Help us to live differently

because we have prayed today.
