    the everlasting ways.

             Habakkuk 3. 6

(Do we seek temporary solutions,

quick relief,

shortcuts and bandaids?

Or God's eternal ways

                  in this?

Do we desire the fast

and furious interstate route

that gets us through

as swiftly as possible?

Or choose His high road

off-track, slow, steep

and rocky,

   not necessarily the hardest

   but that which follows Him?

The view is not just at the top

   but all along the way.

We are changed by what

   we daily choose.

We know something more

     because we trust Him.

And because we trust Him,

we can live differently.)

O LORD,

You empower us to

   choose the unexpected

                  for Your glory,

even in hard circumstances,

even in the every days of life.

Help us to heed Your Word

       and respond to Your voice

and be willing to trust You

even in what we don't understand.

So many ways we can go

           with this situation.

Help us to follow You

    into Your glory,

    not ours.

You are good and do good.

And because we believe in You,

    we can choose differently.

We can stake our lives

on Your goodness and love,

no matter the circumstances.
