Not by might,
nor by power,
but by My Spirit,
says the LORD of hosts.
Who are you,
O great mountain?
Before Zerubbabel
you shall become a plain.
And he shall bring forward
the top stone
amid shouts of
"Grace, grace to it."
Zechariah 4. 6-7
(We have not tried everything
until we have come
before the LORD
with this impossible mountain
right before us.
We have not considered
what God can do.
And that should always
be our first response,
not last resort.
No matter the
overwhelming obstacles,
God's Spirit
changes the landscape
by changing our hearts
-- how we see it
and how we see Him.
No matter the difficulty,
no way around it,
bring grace
and even more grace to it.)
O LORD,
We all struggle with something.
But nothing is too great
or small
in Your eyes
that You cannot bring
Your glory to it.
Pour Your Spirit over it.
And help us to
follow You into
whatever lies before us.
Even this.
Even now.
Even in what appears ordinary,
You work in
extraordinary ways.
