When you come into
the land that I give you...
Leviticus 25. 2
(God strategically appoints us
to serve Him
in the familiar and unchartered,
the ordinary and extraordinary,
what seems to matter
and what appears to not,
to bring His peace, grace
and His name here.
We are witnesses of Him
and conduits of His goodness,
even in unexpected places
and among unlikely people.
When I was a little girl,
words over the exit sign read,
"You are now entering
your mission field."
Nothing random in His guidance,
but being aware of His presence
and sacred encounters,
wherever we find ourselves today.)
O LORD,
Guide our thoughts, our hearts
and our feet
that we may willingly go
or willingly stay,
in the center of Your will.
Help us not just to remember
to ask for Your leading,
but ask for Your courage
in actually following You
into what we see
and what we don't yet
comprehend.
We bind ourselves to You
in whatever You unfold
as we walk with You.
