Don't Leave Home Without Him

 

With God

   we shall do valiantly.

It is He who will

    tread down our foes.

               Psalm 60. 12

(Don't leave home without Him.

God grants us the help

    and resources we need

for whatever we face

             and whatever we fear,

      both real and imagined.

But even more than that,

           He is with us.

We are not alone in this.

Valiantly in ancient Hebrew

   means strength, valor,

and substance as with an army.

Not a false shout of

              "you've got this!"

but the strongest words of all,

                  God is with us.

     No matter what unfolds.

What are we facing

   that robs us of sleep?

What are we avoiding?

What are we encountering

   that we need to seek Him,

His help, His strength,

   His direction, His way through?

Have I even considered

         asking Him?)

O LORD,

We need You every hour.

You never intended for us

              to go it alone.

Help us to go forth today,

   not driven by fear

   but walking with You.

You provide the strength.

You show us ways

   we never even saw before.

Please empower us

     to see this situation

     with a different heart

and to walk with You

      for Your glory in it.

Help us to trust You

          yet again.

    And even more.
