While Ezra prayed....

           Ezra 10. 1

((When we pray,

    something always happens.

When we pray,

    something cannot help

                 but change,

   and sometimes that is

              our hearts.

Not just bringing something

       to God's attention,

but coming ourselves

            before the LORD.

Prayer should be

      our first response,

not our last resort.

Praying is an act of trusting God.

Praying is the turning point

     on which our lives hinge,

by recognizing, trusting,

and verbalizing,

    "You are my God.

      My times are in Your hands."

                 --Psalm 31. 14)

O LORD,

We come before You,

not just in the crises,

but everyday,

    knowing that

    every day is a story of Your faithfulness.

And as we pray,

      we walk with You through it.

Thank you that we can

             pray to You.

And know that You listen

      to every word.
