Behold, the eye of the LORD
is on them who fear Him,
on those who hope
     in His steadfast love,
that He may deliver
         their souls from death
and keep them alive in famine.
Our soul waits for the LORD;
He is our help and our shield.
For our heart is glad in Him,
   because we trust
   in His holy name.

               Psalm 33. 18-21

(How differently do we
       approach this situation
       or navigate these waters
because we can hope in Him?
God has His eye on us.
Are we setting our eyes on Him?
He does not just
bring us through the narrow squeaks,
but brings His infinite purposes
    and His glory
to what we see as a hard place.
He does not just keep us alive,
   He empowers us to thrive
   in His strength
            and steadfast love,
when we trust in Him
and not just a particular outcome.)

O LORD,
We spend more time
    thinking of our own solutions
than setting our eyes on You.
May our first response
           be praying to You,
     and laying before You
        what we are carrying.
Keep Your eye on us,
             Almighty One.
Help us to both listen
      and respond to You
   and know You are here.
And trust in Your steadfast love.
Guide our steps.
Direct our thoughts.
Align our hearts with Yours.
Help us to walk with You
   in Your strength, courage,
    wisdom and grace.
