Many are the afflictions

        of the righteous,

but the LORD delivers him

      out of them all.

                Psalm 34. 19

(We are His.

But we still live

     in a very broken world.

We just live differently

   because we know God,

   because we love God,

and because God

       walks with us through it.

We are not alone.

Because we see God differently,

   we see circumstances

   with a new heart.

There is nothing that

     He does not redeem.

How can we approach,

navigate,

and respond differently

   to this difficulty

   because we walk with Him?)

O LORD,

Even in the hard stuff,

    You redeem.

Even when we don't understand,

    You bear eternal fruit.

Even what we see as affliction,

    You turn right side out.

You say,

     "Now watch what

            I do with this."

Your will in this, O LORD,

         not ours.

Your path through,

Your strength woven into it,

Your glory all over it.

Help us to not just have

        a good attitude,

but the mind of Christ.
