that had been turned for them

     from sorrow into gladness

and from mourning

               into a holiday.

(Even in these difficult days we face,

     God is already redeeming.

God turns the world

         right side up

    in unexpected

    and impossible ways.

God whispers,

         "Now watch this."

May these days

    --both hard and joyous--

be remembered

in our chronicle of God's faithfulness.

Lest we forget or water down

     His goodness and steadfast love.

Remember when....?

We have no idea

           from where we stand

   God's grander narrative.)

O LORD,

You are good.

You are gracious.

You speak softly to us,

     "Trust Me in this."

We are surrounded

       by Your steadfast love,

even when we are so unaware.

For now we only see dimly,

but then someday,

someday even on the other side of life,

     Your goodness,

     Your redeeming,

     Your love in this,

          will astound us.
