No Small Parts

 

Let every skillful craftsman       

     among you come

and make all that

the LORD has commanded...

 

           Exodus 35. 10

(There are no small parts,

no insignificant acts

   of work and worship,

because they are

            intricately woven.

Every faithfulness

      proves profound.

Every peg, word, stitch,

      or crumb

  fulfills a vital ministry.

It depends not on

    "how am I gifted?"

but am I willing

       to follow Him,

 beyond what I am able

                 on my own?

God provides the opportunity

       and the materials.

We bring our hearts.)

O LORD,

We don't always know  

   what we are doing

or what is required,

but we seek above all 

    to be faithful to You.

Whether a tangible end result

     or willingness to try,

  You use every effort.

Help us to trust You

    in the process,

           step by step,

     in Your name.

And know You multiply it

  for all eternity.

Even what we do today.
