And when in time to come,
your son asks you,
"What does this mean?"
you shall say to him,
"By a strong hand
the LORD brought us
out of Egypt,
from the house of slavery."
Exodus 13. 14
(And when the time comes
when your co-worker,
neighbor, grocery clerk,
coach of your kid's team,
or family member asks,
what makes you different?
What do we say?
Live in such a way
that others are compelled
to ask why.
Do others just see us
as "nice people,"
or do they witness a heart
transformed by Jesus?
"It is not I who live,
but Christ who lives in me."
--Galatians 2. 20
God has given each of us
a story for His glory
--liberation, grace, and newness.
Do others know our story?
And what God has done.)
O LORD,
Help us to live as those
who can live differently
because we know You.
Fill us with Your grace
and unexpected love
toward others
as a witness to what
You have done in us
and who You are..
