Clear Evidence

 

To each is given

the manifestation of the Spirit

       for the common good.

           1 Corinthians 12. 7

(God grants to each of us

  the clear evidence of Himself.

It is not just that we are unable

           to do something,

           but He can.

God reveals Himself

   in a million different ways

 by how we respond to need,

   how we treat others

              with grace,

   how we give and forgive,

how He changes the world

          through us.

Do your best to do your part

            and even more.

The common good

  is the wellbeing of all people,

  even those we don't like

      or who are not like us..

Not just being nice or kind,

   but gracious,

especially in difficult situations.

We are to bear, bring together,

   carry and contribute

through the prompting

           of His Spirit.)

O LORD,

Please manifest Your Spirit

      in us and through us

that we may bring about

  great good

   in impossible circumstances

and even in the ordinary.

May we live out

  the evidence of what it means

to abide in You.
