...but they do not regard

the deeds of the LORD,

or see the work

          of His hands.

           Isaiah 5. 12

(What we miss because

we don't seek Him,

recognize His hand,

or acknowledge

     God has everything

     to do with this.

The LORD is in this,

and we are oblivious.

This day,

this journey,

this work,

even this impossible task

could be radically different

when we follow Him in it.)

O LORD,

Help us to not just

     see Your hand,

not just to seek success

       or an answer,

but to seek You.

Your fingerprints are

      all over this.

Help us to not claim

      it for ourselves,

but to acknowledge You

and Your deeper work

   far beyond our lifetimes.

Empower us to know You more,

            even in this.
