But exhort one another

      every day,

as long as it is called "today,"

that none of you

may be hardened by the

   deceitfulness of sin.

(We are all surrounded

  by a clamor of voices,

loud and ever present,

shouting for our attention.

But do we push back

    against the darkness

by speaking truth and grace

    into the lives around us?

How can we daily encourage,

urge, and strengthen others

    in their walk with God?

How can we do that

  in tangible ways today?)

O LORD,

Help us to realize Your with-ness

    and opportunities for

    Your witness through us.

What are we

      bringing to the table?

Help us to be

    the voice of strength

               and encouragement

   in the lives of those around us,

whether believers or seekers,

not where we may find ourselves today,

but wherever You have strategically

                     placed us today.

Your divine encounters.

Your sacred appointments.

Especially those we

              don't expect.
