Let Your glory

   be over all the earth!

           Psalm 108. 5

(No matter what we face

     in the day ahead,

whether favorable

   or whatever we fear,

our struggles

   or our triumphs,

may God's glory

      get all over it.

Even in this.)

O LORD,

It never occurred to me

   to pray for Your glory

                  in this.

We pray for answers

and solutions

and even rescue helicopters,

but our myopic vision

prevents us

     from trusting You

and what You are doing.

May Your glory

   get all over everything,

not just in the outcome.

May our hearts be changed

     by what we pray

     and Whom we seek.
