Gracious words
are like a honeycomb,
sweetness to the soul
and health to the body.

           Proverbs 16. 24

(Not focused on
what grace and goodness
                 we receive,
but what we continually
    and generously give.
If we are known as HIs,
our lives should ooze with grace.
Knowing Him,
we can't help but live
                 very differently,
respond to circumstances
                 very differently,
love others very differently,
think, feel, speak, act
with a heart changed by Him.
Others are continually watching,
not to see that our lives
                  are perfect,
     that we are successful,
     kids are well behaved,
     that all goes well,
but to see that God is real
when life doesn't go so great.
Are our lives any different
            in the midst of chaos,
do we respond any differently
    when life is really hard?
It is not a matter
of getting to the place
         where nothing shakes you,
but everything triggers
         the glory of God.)

O LORD,
We come to You
in the midst of a very broken world.
Please help us to wake up
      and bring the gospel.
We cannot help but speak
    of Your love and grace,
    forgiveness and mercy.
We cannot help but act
    differently
    because we are Yours.
You have changed our lives.
We cannot do everything,
   but we can do something.
Help us to follow Your steps
    into Your purposes
              for this day.
We can never know
   where Your glory shows up.
