Mark the blameless
    and behold the upright...

               Psalm 37. 37

(Watch carefully
    what the faithful ones do,
how they approach situations,
how they navigate the storms,
how they seek God's guidance,
     and how they trust Him.
What are their daily liturgies,
      engraved habits,
      and their commitments?
They make different choices,
      walk differently
             even on the same path,
     and discover new outcomes.
They live as if everything matters.
           Because it does,
far more than we can know.
Every action, word and decision
     is divinely anointed and appointed
and impacts a thousand generations.)

O LORD,
Make us aware of how
even in what we consider ordinary
    has eternal implications
          for a thousand generations.
The choices of the faithful in the past
    have impacted our own lives
                            going forward.
The daily choices we make
are also sown in sacred ground.
Help us to seek out those
              who love and trust You
and be sensitive to
        how they walk before You.
We too can be faithful.
We can stake our lives on You,
      even in the difficult,
      even in the ordinary,
      even when we don't understand.
You redeem everything.
