Walk in wisdom

      toward outsiders,

making the best use

      of the time.

Let your speech

      always be gracious,

seasoned with salt,

so that

you may know how you

ought to answer

               each person.

            Colossians 4. 5-6

People are always

watching and listening,

not to see if we are perfect

   or if we know all the answers,

but to know that God is real.

How do we approach this situation

      differently and with grace?

How should we respond

           to others?

By walking with Him.)

O LORD,

Help us to be aware

of those all around us

    and their needs

and to be aware

    of Your Presence.

There are

    no random encounters,

just opportunities

    to bring Your name here,

in word and response,

serving and speaking

         gracious words

with a transformed heart.

We don't know

        all the answers,

but You do.

No one wants a rehearsed speech

        or a prepared script,

    but to be seen, heard

                and loved.

Even when we are unaware,

You show us what to say

to point others

   right into Your arms.
