When Abram was 99 years old,
the LORD appeared to Abram
and said to him,
"I am God Almighty,
walk before Me
and be blameless,
that I may make My covenant
between Me and you,
and may multiply you greatly."
Genesis 17. 1
(Everything up to this point
was preparing and training him
for God's incredible purposes.
Abram had no clue.
But in God's unexpected ways,
and in His exact timing,
Abram would know
beyond a shadow of a doubt
who is this God
whom he is worshiping.
And Abram would need that.
So do we.
How differently would we live
if we saw God
and trusted Him
not for something
but as the Almighty?)
O LORD,
You see us far clearly
than we see ourselves.
You hear us.
And You multiply beyond
what we are capable
on our own.
You unfold what is
all around us
and in the darkness,
You provide the next step.
Even while we pray
and as we trust You
into what appears impossible,
You are changing our hearts.
You are the Almighty One.
