Right Here

 

...that you may know

that I am the LORD

in the midst of the earth.

            Exodus 8. 22

(What does it take for us

to realize, accept, acknowledge,

not just believe but to know,

that God is God

          and we are not?

   And live that way.

It is not that God might show up,

    or we must wait for Him to come,

but He is already here,

           right in our midst,

         right here with us.

How does that change

   how we see this day

           because He is here?

How then shall we live?)

O LORD,

You are strong.

You are mighty.

You are right here.

And that makes all the difference

     in how we live,

     in what we love,

     in how we respond.

Does anyone see

         that difference in us?

You have placed us here

     in this day

     and in this situation

to be a witness to others

         that You are here.

Let Your glory be known.
