...and make the dry tree flourish.
I am the LORD,
I have spoken,
and I will do it.

              Ezekiel 17. 24

(Not just that we would survive
      but thrive.
God changes the landscape.
Even in the most barren places,
  to be His redemptive presence
                           there,
to be His people,
    knowing Him,
    known by Him,
    known as His.
Flourishing extends far beyond
       our own well-being.)

O LORD,
Help us to see these situations
         --even the ordinary
                       or unexpected--
with new eyes and fresh hearts
that we would not just
              find a way through,
   but bear Your fruit,
   even in drought
            and the really hard places.
    for Your glory
and to point others to You.
Show us how
  to be Your redemptive presence
            even in difficulty.
Help us to
             practice grace in this
 for You to be seen
                  and known.
