And behold,

the glory of the God of Israel

            was there...

            Ezekiel 8. 4

(When we respond to God,

when we follow Him

          right where we are,

God reveals Himself

   in unexpected ways

   and unlikely places.

God's glory

     suddenly emerges,

there all the time.

We just didn't see it yet.

God was in this

             after all,

     and we did not know it.

Watch for

          glimpses of His glory,

    all around us,

    even through the hard stuff.)

O LORD,

You have surrounded us

   even in this broken world,

Your glory shining

            through the cracks

            and the gaps,

            and the crevasses.

Help us to keep our eyes on You,

    seeking not just Your glory

                 but Your strength

and Your Presence continually,

   in what is before us today.

You are with us,

                 even in this.
