Though I walk

     in the midst of trouble,

You preserve my life.

Your steadfast love, O LORD,

             endures forever.

Do not forsake

    the work of Your hands.

               Psalm 138. 7-8

(Even in this struggle,

this hardship,

this really hard place,

   God redeems my life.

Nothing random,

  just completion even in

  what I don't understand.

Even then,

       God is with me.

God is not about

    to abandon me now.)

O LORD,

Even in trouble,

   help us to know

          You are here too.

May we come before You

    even in the midst

    of trouble or mystery

and know You redeem.

Help me to

    walk with You through this

and know You more,

    not just as a result,

    but part of the journey.
