...and He sent them out

to proclaim

       the kingdom of God

and to heal.

                    Luke 9. 2

(Jesus sends us out

       into our days

to do the same:

to bring His name there

and to bring healing

        to the table

and into our situations

      and relationships.

What is in our hearts?)

O LORD,

Help us to not be tripped up

    by circumstances

    or potholes

    or head-on collisions,

but to be responsive

   wherever You lead us today.

Help us to approach

        what is before us

with Your Word

   and a heart that seeks to heal.

May kindness be on our lips,

    grace overflowing in our pockets,

and Your name written

          over all we do and say.
