At the command of the LORD

            they camped,

and at the command of the LORD

            they set out.

(Sometimes God says go,

sometimes He says stay.

We may not be done here,

we may not be ready

                to move on.

Being faithful is just as much

a new threshold

and a path before us.)

O LORD,

Help us not just to

         go or stay

but to be faithful

in everything before us.

May we come before You

for You to place Your plans

               before us,

not our agenda for You.

Help us to trust You

even in what

    we don't understand.
