O LORD,

May we not be

    taken by surprise

in this broken world,

but go forth aware

       and responsive

   to Your Presence with us.

Help us to walk with You

  as we all struggle with something.

Help us to be filled

      not by panic

      but by Your Spirit

that we are able to help others

     in time of desperate need.

Strengthen our hearts

        even on this ordinary day

that we would bring You glory

        even in the hard stuff.

Help us to trust You in this,

  no matter what is

              on our paths today.
