I know that You

   can do all things,

and that

   no purpose of Yours

   can be thwarted.

                Job 42. 2

(God's power and purposes prevail,

even in what

      we cannot possibly grasp.

This verse is the definition

                    of trusting God.

This verse is the basis

        for our hope in Him.

Things are not just going to work out

                           "for a reason,"

but all things fit together

     in a multitude of purposes,

His fingerprints,

His inscrutable love,

His glory

             all over it.

Even in this mystery,

even in this pain.)

O LORD,

May Your purposes in this,

may Your power in this,

may Your glory prevail.

Grant us the strength we need

      to follow You

      into Your profound ways.

Help us to be faithful

   when we cannot yet

                    see the next step,

    and to love others to You.
