    the LORD our God.
We have sought Him,
and He has given us peace
               on every side.

(How different the course of our lives
when we seek the LORD.
We do different things,
we do things differently,
we are not distracted
              by unrest or despair,
    but know how to respond.
Seeking God in this
             changes everything.
    Even my heart.)

O LORD,
Did it even occur to us
       to seek You in this,
not to panic
            but to pray?
Please help us not to
                get ahead of You,
nor lag behind,
not blazing our own trail,
         but abiding in You.
