Truly, truly I say to you,

whatever you ask

              of the Father

   in My name,

He will give it to you.

Until now you have

asked nothing

         in My name.

Ask,

and you will receive,

that your joy may be full.

           John 16. 23=24

(Have we asked at all?

Have we asked

             in His name,

our hearts aligned with His?

Willing to trust Him

     and to seek Him,

not just an answer

or a predetermined outcome?

"In Jesus name, Amen" are not

   magical words

to get what we want,

but words of trusting God

and dedication to Him,

          no matter what.)

O LORD,

We come before You,

not with our own agenda

    or gift registry,

but seeking You

           into this day,

a day and everything in it

              unknown to us

but totally known by You.

Lay Your day before us,

                 Almighty God.

You don't just do good.

     You are good.

You do not promise

       "get what you want,"

but "I am with you"

   in this broken world.

We ask You today

  to align our hearts

               with Yours.
