And David had success

in all his undertakings,

for the LORD

       was with Him.

       1 Samuel 18. 14

(When we follow the LORD,

watch, listen,

and respond to Him,

something different

          always happens,

than if we went out

   on our own.

It is not about winning,

but intimacy with Him.

When we trust God,

no matter the circumstances

    or the outcome,

He empowers us in ways

   we don't even realize,

and it may not be

     about us at all,

but the flourishing of others.

We don't necessarily

     see in the dark,

but trust Him in the dark,

even in what

          we don't yet see.)

O LORD,

We thank You

not just for walking with us

but walking us through

the deep things of life

beyond our strength,

beyond our comprehension,

     but not beyond You.

Help us to trust You

     and be fearless

in serving You

   by loving others,

even in unlikely places

and unexpected ways.

Be with us

   in these struggles

and help us to see them

as opportunities

     to bring glory to You.

There is always more

                going on

than we can comprehend.
