I call upon the LORD,
who is worthy to be praised,
and I am saved
from my enemies...
In my distress,
I called upon the LORD,
to my God
I cried for help.
From His temple
He heard my voice,
and my cry to Him
reached His ears.
Psalm 18. 3,6
In our circumstances,
does it even occur to us
to call upon the Lord God
and cry HELP?
God does not just listen.
God responds.
He will either airlift us
out of enemy territory
or carry us through,
all the while holding our hand,
while we walk with Him.
His wonders unfold
along the way all around us.
And it all starts
with that 911 call to Him.
He's got us.
O LORD,
Our foes are anything we fear,
both real and imagined.
Strengthen us
to not bow before them,
but bow before You.
In our distress,
You are our first responder,
not last resort.
You hear our cries for help.
And remind us:
Do not fear. I am with you.
You are God.
And we are not.
Hear us.
Hold us.
Help us.
Even in this situation today.
