God Is Saying Yes

 

...and Jesus said to them,

"Do you believe that I am

      able to do this?"

They said to Him,

             "Yes, Lord."

Then He touched their eyes,

saying, "According to your faith

       be it done to you."

 And their eyes were opened.

                  Matthew 9. 28-30

Do we believe God is able?

Do we even come to Him with

  our needs and desperations?

Do we acknowledge and trust Him

      in what He brings about

                   and how?

Even if the outcome or answer

  is not what we are seeking,

God is saying yes to something more

          and something deeper,

perhaps even beyond our lifetimes.

    Or right at this moment.

O LORD,

Not our way in this,

            but Yours.

Use this situation, this condition,

   these difficulties

to draw us closer to You.

Encourage us to know

  that You are at work,

not limited by our

             puny thoughts.

And that You are able

to do far more abundantly

    than we can ever imagine.

May Your Presence cover us

    and guide us

even in this difficulty today.

Open the eyes of our hearts

   not just to what is possible,

but to Your extraordinary ways

      in this very day.
