The LORD is gracious
and merciful,
slow to anger and
abounding in steadfast love.
The LORD is good to all,
and His mercy is over
all that He has made.

The LORD shows us
how to respond,
what to do,
and how to be:
kind, faithful, gracious,
seeking to do right,
abounding in love,
good to all,
even in extenuating situations,
unexpected by others,
and sometimes,
even surprising ourselves.
Be like Me.
That is the way through.
This is how to do it.
O LORD,
Please help us.
We don't know how to handle
stressful circumstances
and impossible people.
Pour over us Your nature
that we would honor You
by how we respond to
what is before us today,
to bring Your holy name here.
May Your Holy Spirit
invade our hearts
and give us the strength
to do what we cannot.
May we reflect Your ways
and Your works
and Your words today.
Form in us
Your transforming love.
We cannot do this
on our own,
but only in You.
