Rejoice always,
pray without ceasing,
give thanks
in all circumstances.

approach and navigate
our days,
not defining them as favorable
or difficult,
but relying on His strength
and being faithful,
no matter what.
How differently our lives
would look,
not as impervious to circumstances,
but profoundly responsive,
not just to our needs
but with big wide margins
to be aware of others whom
God places on our paths.

O LORD,
In this day,
no matter what we face,
please help us to
rejoice, pray, and be thankful,
to see what is before us
with fresh eyes
and a new heart.
Your Presence

including our hearts.
